Irish Washerwoman
a jig

A washerwoman

This is the mother of Irish jigs, danced at many a Renaissance faire and Celtic festival. A special dance they call the "Lilt" is performed to this at the Maypole of my home faire, the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival in Muskogee, OK.

This arrangement especially shows how the computer can play eighth notes in up to four part harmony in rapid succession.

The instruments portrayed are the basic electronic trinity.

The basic melody is a folk tune that has been in the public domain for perhaps centuries, but this particular electronic arrangement I regard as my own intellectual property and I do not give permission for it to be used in any advertising or in any commercial venture I receive no compensation from.
